OUR STORY

Our Building

Our family moved to Manitoulin Island in 2008 when we purchased the Caniff Homestead.  The log cabin from the 1880s was restored to be the home of Linens & Lavender. Today 10 years after opening we still work as a family to make and bring quality Canadian and European products to our loyal customers. The setting of the countryside is reflected in our products of traditional quality: beeswax candles, wool blankets and quad-milled European soaps and table and bed linens of the finest cotton and linen fabrics.  Linens & Lavender is surrounded by the gardens that we have lovingly been working on for years.  At Linens & Lavender, we combine old-world traditions with a comfortable setting that will make your time on the island memorable.

Our Family

Our whole family is responsible for bringing Linens & Lavender to life. Raymond restored the century log home to outshine its original beauty. Jeanette and both of her daughters began working to make the store into what it is today! The youngest daughter, Cecilia continues to work for Linens & Lavender developing the on-line presence and building a solid foundation at our island location. We also have special greeters on the farm: Joey and Pride will gallop up to greet you and Liebe our German Shepherd will make you feel welcome too!
